Héctor Barra made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Biagio Nola sent off a good shot on target. 5 minutes into the game, Filippo Pinti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Héctor Barra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 13 in the game by Filippo Pinti from a close distance when the talented Héctor Barra managed to make a qualified save. Capo de Provincia's players were relieved. Castagneto Po FC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Capo de Provincia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eraldo Sorrentino took the corner. With an all-out effort, Castagneto Po FC's Héctor Barra threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emilio Sciarra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 19 minutes into the game, Capo de Provincia's Alejandro Martxelin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Cimino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 24th match minute, Capo de Provincia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Próspero Imaz to maneuver through the defense. Héctor Barra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Pinti, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Castagneto Po FC's Ermanno Venditti got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 45th minute Alejandro Martxelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Cimino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Alejandro Martxelin made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Capo de Provincia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanío Mejia to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Alejandro Martxelin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Capo de Provincia made a substitution. Juan Riquelme replaced Epifanío Mejia. After a rather tough play, Castagneto Po FC's Andrea Pinti got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes Castagneto Po FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Pinti. Dennis Cimino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeronimo Tellerias in the 66th minute. In the 67th match minute, Castagneto Po FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedele Pasquale to maneuver through the defense. Castagneto Po FC's Dennis Cimino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Pretot in the 68th minute of play. Dennis Cimino was a little too slow when Jeronimo Tellerias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-2. Dennis Cimino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Tellerias in the 76th minute of play. Dennis Cimino stood somewhat misplaced when Juan Riquelme came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 77 minute. Castagneto Po FC's Dennis Cimino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Villa in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Castagneto Po FC's goalkeeper Dennis Cimino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Tellerias. Dennis Cimino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Héctor Barra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippo Pinti, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Jeronimo Tellerias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Dennis Cimino made a huge save. Dennis Cimino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Riquelme's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The Capo de Provincia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Capo de Provincia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
