If Folke Melin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Luz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Pedrinho de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Folke Melin went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute Folke Melin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ole-Johan Larsens short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Malcolm Wall to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Pauliström's Malcolm Wall got control of the ball when Stian Selnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Alfa FC booed when Pauliström was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralf Högberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pauliström's Malcolm Wall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferreirinha Vinhas in the 36th minute of play. Stian Selnes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Malcolm Wall firmly grabbed it by the left post. Pedrinho de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folke Melin, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 41 minutes, Folke Melin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pauliström and the Alfa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Folke Melin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. A hard shot 42 in the game by Stian Selnes from a close distance when the talented Malcolm Wall managed to make a qualified save. Pauliström's players were relieved. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Stian Selnes made the kick off in the second half. Ciro Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stian Selnes in the 57th minute of play forced Pauliström's goalkeeper Malcolm Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Stian Selnes put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Malcolm Wall. Pauliström were furious when Alexander Lundström was red carded, 82 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pauliström fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! Pauliström's Malcolm Wall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferreirinha Vinhas in the 90th minute of play. Bernt Godholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho de Queirós having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Henry Näver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pauliström's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Näver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
