Gençlerbirliği's supporters crossed their fingers, but Muharrem Sebih was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bobby Axelrod took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Aleixo in the 5th minute of play forced SK Slavia Bohnice's goalkeeper Bobby Axelrod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bobby Axelrod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muharrem Sebih in the 6th minute of play. If Muharrem Sebih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Kristen Michálek in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SK Slavia Bohnice's Oskar Pejša. After having played for 20 minutes, Muharrem Sebih managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bobby Axelrod made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Muharrem Sebih sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th match minute, Gençlerbirliği was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristen Michálek to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute of the match, Muharrem Sebih tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bobby Axelrod saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bento Aleixo might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bobby Axelrod. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bento Aleixo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 68th minute, Kristen Michálek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of SK Slavia Bohnice booed when Gençlerbirliği was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 79th minute Muharrem Sebih shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobby Axelrod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SK Slavia Bohnice's Bobby Axelrod played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muharrem Sebih in the 82nd minute of play. SK Slavia Bohnice's Dušan Kyjovský was substituted for Stanislav Konvalinka. The throw-in from Kristen Michálek in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SK Slavia Bohnice's Oskar Pejša. 90 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Marcelino Lacalle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dušan Kyjovský. Marcelino Lacalle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dušan Kyjovský in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, SK Slavia Bohnice's goal looked a bit too open when Muharrem Sebih came free, but Bobby Axelrod reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SK Slavia Bohnice's zone, Bento Aleixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bobby Axelrod came out of the goal and Bento Aleixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Gençlerbirliği were the better team. Gençlerbirliği's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
