In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Alpachiri AFC's goalkeeper Roman Shantala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 23 minutes Alpachiri AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dan Petrescu who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Onurhan Çinuçin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alpachiri AFC's Roman Shantala did a great save. After 23 minutes of play, Galati Harbour Cats's Onurhan Çinuçin made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roman Shantala was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Galati Harbour Cats's Roman Shantala threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ianis Man, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Galati Harbour Cats's Dan Petrescu got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Txilar was the one to do the kick off. Roman Shantala dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 92 minutes into the game, Shi Li cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Roman Shantala was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Galati Harbour Cats had won after a very even match.
