Torgny Landins short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Damaso Hurko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Torgny Landin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damaso Hurko having to make a save. 7 minutes into the match, Austral FC's goalkeeper Damaso Hurko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torgny Landin. Jan Höijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Hurko having to interfere. Jens-Åke Källberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Dalmu in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Austral FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Goizeder Infante hit a great ball. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Austral FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vilhelm Holm was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Austral FC's goalkeeper Damaso Hurko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute of the match Boca Juniors got a corner. Austral FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vilhelm Holm ran over to the corner to take the kick. Damaso Hurko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torgny Landin in the 32nd minute. Damaso Hurko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torgny Landin's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After 44 played minutes Austral FC got a freekick which was hit by Menendo Tella. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerold Grijalba to strike the kick off in the second half. Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. Pastor Dalmu took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jens-Åke Källberg. Jens-Åke Källberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Boca Juniors's Gerd Della was substituted for Özkan Kayaer. Damaso Hurko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jiang Xuan Nan, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Boca Juniors were awarded a corner. Vilhelm Holm went to the cornerflag to take it. Niklas Kjellberg was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Damaso Hurko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Damaso Hurko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiang Xuan Nan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Torgny Landin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Hurko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Austral FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vilhelm Holm was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Boca Juniors's corner Vilhelm Holm fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Damaso Hurko quite easily take care of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Torgny Landin notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Austral FC's Damaso Hurko. Damaso Hurko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute Jiang Xuan Nan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Hurko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Hurko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torgny Landin in the 90th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Austral FC defense, Gerd Della kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damaso Hurko. The Austral FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damaso Hurko should have stopped the shot. Boca Juniors walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
