Franklin de Queiroz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Salamón Del Fierro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Syd Cullen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlín Amuscotegui in the 15th minute of play. Salamón Del Fierro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin de Queiroz in the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of CDU Católica booed when Real Death Ducks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. D.J. Smith didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Cristóbal Lataste shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Syd Cullen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, CDU Católica's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Hultstrand came free, but Salamón Del Fierro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salamón Del Fierro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Hultstrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Toni Painevilu lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 39 minutes into the game, one of CDU Católica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. CDU Católica's Salamón Del Fierro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save CDU Católica from getting a goal against them. Yiğitcan Tugal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salamón Del Fierro having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yiğitcan Tugal made a kick off. After some careless play in the CDU Católica defense, Yiğitcan Tugal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salamón Del Fierro. The CDU Católica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salamón Del Fierro should have stopped the shot. Orlín Amuscotegui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Syd Cullen having to interfere. CDU Católica's Salamón Del Fierro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Hultstrand in the 59th minute of play. Salamón Del Fierro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Syd Cullen made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Cristóbal Lataste sent off a good shot on target. After 71 played minutes Real Death Ducks got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Txindoki. Real Death Ducks made a substitution. Jay Menzies replaced Ive Volckaerts. After a rather tough play, Real Death Ducks's Marcelo Txindoki got a free kick in the 72nd minute. With a little luck, Real Death Ducks's Syd Cullen got control of the ball when Orlín Amuscotegui tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salamón Del Fierro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 81st minute Salbatore Aulestia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Syd Cullen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CDU Católica's zone, Yiğitcan Tugal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salamón Del Fierro came out of the goal and Yiğitcan Tugal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Real Death Ducks's goalkeeper Syd Cullen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlín Amuscotegui. Salamón Del Fierro came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Death Ducks's Yiğitcan Tugal. But to his dismay, Yiğitcan Tugal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the CDU Católica players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Death Ducks.
