Fabian Emeterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, 唐远升 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hans Curtis. VN FC Spartak-Varna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 唐远升 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. VN FC Spartak-Varna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dustin Zentner ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Vilo Futbol Club's Alvaro Castel getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Zbigniew Paraszczuk could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Fabian Emeterio however easily saved by the left post. Hans Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Castel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 唐远升 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kaloyan Shavarski kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Zbigniew Paraszczuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Emeterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Emeterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute.
