Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harald Kranz in the 8th minute. After 10 minutes of play, A. Korn's Cornel Vulpe made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Zoff was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 13th minute Cornel Vulpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dino Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dino Zoff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Diaz's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ramon Diaz sped through Cormoranii -MM-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dino Zoff. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valer Uduleanu in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ubaldo Matildo Fillol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Ramon Diaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A. Korn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. A collision led to Cormoranii -MM- getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Bobby Fischer hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Cormoranii -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Vulpe came free, but Dino Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half A. Korn were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 50 played minutes Cormoranii -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Petru Stoiculescu. In the 51st minute, Ruben Salvator left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A. Korn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Dino Zoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbigniew Fedosz, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of A. Korn booed when Cormoranii -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Marcel Vulpe shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. A. Korn's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cornel Vulpe in the 71st minute. The corner ended in Cornel Vulpe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cormoranii -MM-'s Dino Zoff did a great save. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valer Uduleanu's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute of the match Cormoranii -MM- got a corner. A. Korn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcel Vulpe ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Cormoranii -MM- fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Cormoranii -MM-'s Eugen Boldur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 78th match minute, A. Korn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haythem Boumnijel to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cormoranii -MM-'s Bobby Fischer got a free kick in the 80th minute.
