Seating: 36, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frits Platvoet started the match with the kick off. When Albertus FC's Christijan van Asseldonk in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Power Soccer Best Club's goalie prevented a goal. Christijan van Asseldonk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Christijan van Asseldonk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ken Givens came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Albertus FC's Ted Kamps. But to his dismay, Ted Kamps quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Power Soccer Best Club's Ken Givens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Platvoet in the 20th minute of play. Ken Givens came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Albertus FC's Pieter Theissen. But to his dismay, Pieter Theissen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Christijan van Asseldonk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Givens having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Albertus FC's Christijan van Asseldonk got a free kick in the 29th minute. Power Soccer Best Club's Ken Givens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Platvoet in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Christijan van Asseldonk notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Power Soccer Best Club's Ken Givens. Ken Givens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolland Pike got free with Ger Tollenaar in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Frits Platvoet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albertus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frits Platvoet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ken Givens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th match minute, Power Soccer Best Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolland Pike to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Power Soccer Best Club's zone, Ted Kamps stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ken Givens came out of the goal and Ted Kamps tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kerry Agoos to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Frits Platvoet got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 53rd minute, Gertjan van Damme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kerry Agoos charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kerry Agoos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Albertus FC booed when Power Soccer Best Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kerry Agoos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes in the game, Frits Platvoet fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ken Givens having to interfere. Frits Platvoet didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-5 via right post in the game's 61st minute. Albertus FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Ken Givens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frits Platvoet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 68 minute of play. Christijan van Asseldonk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertus FC's Christijan van Asseldonk got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Christijan van Asseldonk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Christijan van Asseldonk dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ken Givens, 1-7. The supporters of Albertus FC booed when Power Soccer Best Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thurman Cash didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ken Givens came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Albertus FC's Frits Platvoet. But to his dismay, Frits Platvoet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8.
