In the 4th match minute, Mauro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karol Kinic to maneuver through the defense. When Cahangir Aliyev came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Gyepüpataka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cahangir Aliyev couldn't finish the play. The Gyepüpataka fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Gyepüpataka's Humberto Simões looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Gyepüpataka's Humberto Simões in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mauro's goalie prevented a goal. Lu Hong Qiang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Simões in the 14th minute of play. Stefan Lundblad's late challenge caught a Gyepüpataka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stefan Lundblad helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Mauro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Lundblad to maneuver through the defense. Lu Hong Qiang didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cahangir Aliyev went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Lu Hong Qiang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Simões in the 27th minute of the match. During the 29th minute of the match Stefan Lundblad completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Stefan Lundblad a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Mauro's Stefan Lundblad got a free kick in the 30th minute. Lu Hong Qiang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Calomfir, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Cahangir Aliyev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lu Hong Qiang was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Humberto Simões might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lu Hong Qiang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Simões ran back to his position shaking his head. Lu Hong Qiang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Áron Szabó in the 41st minute of play. Gyepüpataka's Tibor Guzy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Gyepüpataka from getting a goal against them. Lu Hong Qiang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cahangir Aliyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Simões in the 47th minute of play forced Mauro's goalkeeper Lu Hong Qiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karol Kinic was the one to do the kick off. Lu Hong Qiang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Simões in the 53rd minute of play. Karol Kinic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Tibor Guzy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lu Hong Qiang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Árpád Illés in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Áron Szabó ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lu Hong Qiang was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 91st minute Árpád Illés shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lu Hong Qiang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Árpád Illés in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lu Hong Qiang saved Mauro from getting behind. Gyepüpataka's Tibor Guzy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Kinic in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gyepüpataka's zone, Teofil Bara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tibor Guzy came out of the goal and Teofil Bara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lu Hong Qiang made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Árpád Illés sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Gyepüpataka could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mauro throughout the match.
