Alfredo Tab scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pavel Romanescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 王竞耀 came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Pegasas Siauliai's 孟振邦. But to his dismay, 孟振邦 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 18 played minutes FC Pegasas Siauliai got a freekick which was hit by 孟振邦. 孟振邦 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 王竞耀 having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Kotsovolos in the 23rd minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper 王竞耀 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Alfredo Tab got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when 孟振邦 got free with 王竞耀 in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pavel Romanescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauricio Manuelo's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When Talleres's Mauricio Manuelo in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. FC Pegasas Siauliai's Pavel Romanescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Tab in the 44th minute of play. FC Pegasas Siauliai's Pierre Lyngdal got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pavel Romanescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Tunberg in the 47th minute of the match.

Talleres's Sergiu Bulencea was substituted for Lukita Modrić. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 孟振邦 to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalkeeper Pavel Romanescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Kotsovolos in the 55th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper 王竞耀 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Gonza made in the 60th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alfredo Tab. In the 89th minute, 孟振邦 made a precise shot to the right of 王竞耀. Talleres's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Pavel Romanescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Manuelo in the 96th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. FC Pegasas Siauliai were victorious despite being under pressure from Talleres for much of the match.
