When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horea Vulcănescu made a kick off. Staffan Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingemar Jonasson in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's goalkeeper Christoffer Modig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cléber Marinho. The crowd rose to their feet as Cléber Marinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christoffer Modig. That made the score 1-1 in the 73 minute of play. G A I S's Pontus Ström was substituted for Sixten Ekström. In the 81st match minute, G A I S was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Jernberg to maneuver through the defense. G A I S's Staffan Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Holm in the 88th minute of play. G A I S were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
