Qiu Zhi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferdi Bomba went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Qiu Zhi made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Albano Indartsu sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the match, Ferdi Bomba dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Qiu Zhi, 2-0. Emílio Lendaa might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serafin Ofelio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emílio Lendaa ran back to his position shaking his head. Serafin Ofelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bethel Raba in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Adriano Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Ofelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Thomas Albaret put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Serafin Ofelio. In the 72nd minute of the match, Normando Fiúza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serafin Ofelio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
