Octavio Ordono took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga de Azevedo. Guga de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Guga de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Oper's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. The supporters of Sleepy Soldiers FC booed when Xandeco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Balkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Andres Oper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Xandeco FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gilmar Velloso hit a great ball. Guga de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Oper in the 15th minute of play. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Joonatan De Vlaeminck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Sleepy Soldiers FC from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the game, Nicolas Nóbrega cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Joonatan De Vlaeminck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes into the game, Gilmar Velloso threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Manoel da Fonseca quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Joonatan De Vlaeminck made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Edmund Balkiewicz sent off a good shot on target. After 26 minutes Sleepy Soldiers FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lino Vander who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Xandeco FC's Lino Vander to fire away a dangerous shot which Joonatan De Vlaeminck despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joonatan De Vlaeminck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Andres Oper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guga de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Oper in the 29th minute of the match. Guga de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Oper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Guga de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Oper in the 34th minute of play. Andres Oper might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guga de Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andres Oper ran back to his position shaking his head. Guga de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Oper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andres Oper in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Xandeco FC's Luiz Torres got a free kick in the 44th minute. Andres Oper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga de Azevedo having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, one of Xandeco FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Xandeco FC:s Guga de Azevedo showed great skill when he stopped Frits Cromefeldt:s penalty. The Xandeco FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sleepy Soldiers FC were winning 1-2.

Andres Oper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Guga de Azevedo made a huge save. If Andres Oper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the match, Xandeco FC's goalkeeper Guga de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andres Oper. After 66 played minutes Xandeco FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Balkiewicz. Guga de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Andres Oper sent off a good shot on target. Guga de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Oper, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Guga de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Oper in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Sleepy Soldiers FC's Andres Oper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guga de Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Xandeco FC's Geraldo Palmeira was substituted for Antônio Martins. Gilmar Velloso made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sleepy Soldiers FC's Manoel da Fonseca. Sleepy Soldiers FC played a much better game than Xandeco FC and deserved their victory. The Xandeco FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
