Spectators: 155 (Terracing: 117, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Miguel Van Mechelen made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Jan-Olof Eliasson made a precise shot to the right of Abraham Van Linthoud. YR Mechelen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 7th minute, Jan-Olof Eliasson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abraham Van Linthoud was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 12 minutes, Clemente Anaya made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. YR Mechelen's Abraham Van Linthoud tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the game, Jan-Olof Eliasson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Abraham Van Linthoud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute, Clemente Anaya left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Gallardeta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Abraham Van Linthoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to YR Mechelen getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Miguel Van Mechelen hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Clemente Anaya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abraham Van Linthoud was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 32nd match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bragan McPhil to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in YR Mechelen's zone, Jan-Olof Eliasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abraham Van Linthoud came out of the goal and Jan-Olof Eliasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Alan Wirinckx got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of YR Mechelen booed when La Gallardeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sancar Talaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Ricky Tilemans sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Belchior Saldanha skillfully saved the ball. Jan-Olof Eliasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Olof Eliasson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abraham Van Linthoud was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fulgencio Gartzi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 51 minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Jan-Olof Eliasson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Abraham Van Linthoud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Jan-Olof Eliasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Gallardeta's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Olof Eliasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abraham Van Linthoud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, Jan-Olof Eliasson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abraham Van Linthoud. YR Mechelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Olof Eliasson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. La Gallardeta made a substitution. Wilfred Vrede replaced Jan-Olof Eliasson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andries Mangelschot in the 67th minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Belchior Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, YR Mechelen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wilfred Vrede fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye YR Mechelen's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, La Gallardeta's Bragan McPhil got a free kick in the 77th minute. Belchior Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Van Mechelen in the 78th minute of play. Andries Mangelschot scored 1-10 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Belchior Saldanha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abraham Van Linthoud narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute, La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abraham Van Linthoud. Abraham Van Linthoud yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-11. In the 94th minute, Bragan McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Gallardeta played a much better game than YR Mechelen and deserved their victory. The YR Mechelen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
