Amadeo Cucao started the match with the kick off. A hard shot 3 in the game by Walmir de Castro from a close distance when the talented José Luis Heidemann managed to make a qualified save. La Zorro Negro's players were relieved. 4 minutes into the match, La Zorro Negro's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Cucao came free, but José Luis Heidemann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, La Zorro Negro's Rigoberto Piearres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogelio Dei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rigoberto Piearres might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogelio Dei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rigoberto Piearres ran back to his position shaking his head. Rogelio Dei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Piearres in the 15th minute of play. José Luis Heidemann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Cucao in the 17th minute of the match. Patricio Tabby's late challenge caught a La Zorro Negro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Tabby helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Patricio Tabby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ferrocarrilera AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Pancu was slow to take the kick. During this time La Zorro Negro's players had a chance to rest. After 27 played minutes Ferrocarrilera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Tabby. Rogelio Dei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rigoberto Piearres's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. If Walmir de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferrocarrilera AFC's goalkeeper Rogelio Dei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Piearres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ferrocarrilera AFC booed when La Zorro Negro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrício De León didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferrocarrilera AFC's goalkeeper Rogelio Dei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Zorro Negro were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Ferrocarrilera AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Pancu took the corner. After taking down the ball on La Zorro Negro's corner Daniel Pancu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rogelio Dei quite easily take care of the ball. Rigoberto Piearres kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. La Zorro Negro's José Luis Heidemann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir de Castro in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to La Zorro Negro getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rigoberto Piearres hit a great ball. After 70 played minutes Ferrocarrilera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Tabby. La Zorro Negro's Ramón Trevisan was substituted for Daniel Pancu. In the 77th minute, Rigoberto Piearres made a precise shot to the right of Rogelio Dei. Ferrocarrilera AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Walmir de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferrocarrilera AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmir de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Luis Heidemann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rogelio Dei came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by La Zorro Negro's Rigoberto Piearres. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Piearres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to La Zorro Negro getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Hélio Andrade hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Anthonio De Neuter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Heidemann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Zorro Negro's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
