After 4 minutes, Cyryl Wawak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verbano FC and the Skene players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Skene booed when Verbano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Wawak didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martyon Brading in the 7th minute of play forced Skene's goalkeeper Gregory Mäder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sobah Conchas in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Attilio Marzoli saved Verbano FC from getting behind. Attilio Marzoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Johansson in the 19th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sobah Conchas was the one to do the kick off. The Verbano FC fans' excitement grew in the 50th match minute when Verbano FC's Florian Cavallaro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 52 minutes, Kåre Ugla mouthed his way into the referee's book. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Skene's Sobah Conchas in the 80th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Attilio Marzoli was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Verbano FC through an amazing save. When Martyon Brading fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verbano FC's protests and gave Martyon Brading a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes Verbano FC got a freekick which was hit by Martyon Brading. Gregory Mäder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martyon Brading in the 91st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Verbano FC had won after a very even match.
