Mountainhammer United's Roar Klev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Salvino in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Mountainhammer United's Aron Blom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Erik Hjortberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Mountainhammer United's Christoffer Häll to fire away a dangerous shot which Per-Erik Hjortberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 14th match minute, Rothwell Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neymar Mané to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Mårten Olsman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Erik Hjortberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teófilo Vilanova kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Mountainhammer United's Christoffer Häll couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rothwell Park. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Back in the 19th minute of play forced Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Per-Erik Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mountainhammer United were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Rothwell Park's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Christoffer Häll took the corner. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mountainhammer United's goalkeeper Roar Klev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Per-Erik Hjortberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mårten Olsman in the 28th minute of play. Per-Erik Hjortberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Blom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolfo Salvino struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Roar Klev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rothwell Park. Per-Erik Hjortberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Blom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rothwell Park's Per-Erik Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Blom in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rothwell Park's Teófilo Vilanova got a free kick in the 41st minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Adolfo Salvino made the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Mountainhammer United got a freekick which was hit by Arne Back. Rothwell Park's Abdallah Ali Bungei was substituted for Elijah Leakey. After 58 played minutes Mountainhammer United got a freekick which was hit by Arne Back. 59 minutes into the match, Adolfo Salvino notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mountainhammer United's Roar Klev. Roar Klev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 72 minutes, Aron Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mountainhammer United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Blom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rothwell Park's Githinji Ntalami was substituted for Neymar Mané. Mårten Olsman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Per-Erik Hjortberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Salvino in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roar Klev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Adolfo Salvino sped through Mountainhammer United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roar Klev. Rothwell Park made a substitution. Walter Mutuku replaced Shekhar Biwott. Mountainhammer United made a substitution. Ulf Gallin replaced Mårten Olsman. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Rothwell Park were victorious despite being under pressure from Mountainhammer United for much of the match.
