After taking down the ball on Bornova's corner Fernando Dracena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and David Aberle quite easily take care of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Rutsch came free, but Sonny Alén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Giorgos Papaiakovou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sonny Alén was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Uetendorf Wanderers's Sam Amiel got a free kick in the 16th minute. Sonny Alén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özcan Balcik in the 19th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Özcan Balcik in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sonny Alén prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Papaiakovou in the 21st minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Sonny Alén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Kamil Momodu. In the 31st minute Özcan Balcik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sonny Alén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giorgos Papaiakovou, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Giorgos Papaiakovou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Martin Rutsch in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Fernando Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bornova's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Aberle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Uetendorf Wanderers's Giorgos Papaiakovou got a free kick in the 41st minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kamil Momodu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Dracena in the 57th minute of play forced Uetendorf Wanderers's goalkeeper David Aberle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Martin Rutsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Uetendorf Wanderers's goal looked a bit too open when Kamil Momodu came free, but David Aberle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Bornova's goalkeeper Sonny Alén had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glenn Huez. Sonny Alén made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Giorgos Papaiakovou sent off a good shot on target. After 75 minutes Bornova's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Rutsch who took care of the corner kick. Ramiro Bautista made a great header on Uetendorf Wanderers's corner, it was just that Bornova's Sonny Alén managed to reach the ball for a save. With his leg Sonny Alén managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Uetendorf Wanderers's Glenn Huez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. David Aberle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamil Momodu in the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Bornova booed when Uetendorf Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Huez didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Aberle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Nafiz Özilter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giorgos Papaiakovou struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Sonny Alén didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uetendorf Wanderers. The Bornova supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Uetendorf Wanderers's performance. The match ended with a win for Uetendorf Wanderers.
