An unexpectedly hard shot by David Rios in the 11th minute of play forced FC GURZUN's goalkeeper Sérgio Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Lars Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carabata Groove's Cristobal Goito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolas Kafkalas in the 19th minute of play. Cristobal Goito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Madaio in the 25th minute of the match. FC GURZUN's Sérgio Vargas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FC GURZUN from getting a goal against them. Sérgio Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Elazar in the 28th minute of play. Cristobal Goito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Madaio in the 31st minute of play. After 34 minutes, Frasco Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carabata Groove and the FC GURZUN players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Carabata Groove got a freekick which was hit by Frasco Ferreira. Adolfo Dolcet hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Joakim Andersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristobal Goito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joakim Andersson ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Andersson in the 36th minute of play forced Carabata Groove's goalkeeper Cristobal Goito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Nikolas Kafkalas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC GURZUN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Carabata Groove's Herbert Pilipiec was substituted for David Rios. Carabata Groove made a substitution. Teofilo Maidana replaced Andreas Möller. The supporters of Carabata Groove booed when FC GURZUN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ettore Madaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Maidana, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 65th minute Ambrosio Bartolome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Ambrosio Bartolome notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC GURZUN's Sérgio Vargas. Sérgio Vargas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Adolfo Dolcet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC GURZUN's Matei Cozmâncă was substituted for Ettore Madaio. Frasco Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Mihnea Tincu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Cristobal Goito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC GURZUN's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
