Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Indiana Jones started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitório Lago in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Higinio Aguilera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 5 minutes into the match, Indiana Jones notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela. Allan Varela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vitório Lago took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Niclas Danielsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Higinio Aguilera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Palestra do Interior fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Los Hijos de Doña Beija booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitório Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Higinio Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Lago in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Hu Xiong Zhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Higinio Aguilera was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Vitório Lago capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vitório Lago really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jyrki Sillanpää in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indiana Jones in the 33rd minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Demy Ottens in the 34th minute. After taking down the ball on Los Hijos de Doña Beija's corner Demy Ottens fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Allan Varela quite easily take care of the ball. In the 37th minute Albino Brion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Gary Petrie got a free kick in the 38th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitório Lago got free with Higinio Aguilera in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 45 minutes, Vitório Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra do Interior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitório Lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vitório Lago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jyrki Sillanpää in the 52nd minute of the match. Higinio Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Vitório Lago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Higinio Aguilera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Palestra do Interior's Ernani Velasco was substituted for Jorginho Ferreira. Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Timoteo Gartxot replaced Jyrki Sillanpää. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Venancio Sandaili was substituted for Demy Ottens. Timoteo Gartxot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Allan Varela made a huge save. Higinio Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Lago in the 72nd minute of play. Allan Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliciano Haritzeder in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Lago came free, but Higinio Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitório Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Higinio Aguilera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hu Xiong Zhen kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Higinio Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percival Cruz in the 85th minute of play. Allan Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timoteo Gartxot's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After 88 minutes Palestra do Interior's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Feliciano Haritzeder who took care of the corner kick. Higinio Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fang Guang Bang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 90 minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gary Petrie who took care of the corner kick. Gary Petrie made a great header on Palestra do Interior's corner, it was just that Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Percival Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra do Interior's supporters rose to their feet, but Percival Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higinio Aguilera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palestra do Interior! When the match had been going on for 95 minutes, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Indiana Jones got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Allan Varela. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Hijos de Doña Beija players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Palestra do Interior.
