José Furlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dan Söderström made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Lei Feng Ke put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Petre Porumboiu. Petre Porumboiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Hammarbäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Sundets Pärla FC's Dan Söderström got control of the ball when Romeu Guedes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Dan Söderström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 36 minutes into the match, Sundets Pärla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Veiga came free, but Dan Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Söderström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romeu Guedes in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Mikael Hammarbäck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petre Porumboiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.

The wind increased when Lei Feng Ke made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Mikael Hammarbäck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sundets Pärla FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After some careless play in the Sundets Pärla FC defense, Alex Valera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dan Söderström. The Sundets Pärla FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dan Söderström should have stopped the shot. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
