Keith Richards hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's Ovidio Raymundo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olavo Velloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. XV de Indaial were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Revolución Joao FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benjamim Trancoso took the corner. 12 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Revolución Joao FC's Youssef Malek fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Ovidio Raymundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Revolución Joao FC booed when XV de Indaial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. XV de Indaial's Osmar Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youssef Malek in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Youssef Malek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Antunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 29 played minutes XV de Indaial got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Coutinho. If Leandro Bartoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Galvão in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's goalkeeper Osmar Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Bartoli. 40 minutes into the game, Leandro Bartoli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Osmar Antunes. Leandro Bartoli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After some careless play in the XV de Indaial defense, Youssef Malek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osmar Antunes. The XV de Indaial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osmar Antunes should have stopped the shot. XV de Indaial's Osmar Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youssef Malek in the 55th minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, Revolución Joao FC's Youssef Malek made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmar Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Revolución Joao FC's Azconzábal Morante was substituted for Keith Richards. Revolución Joao FC made a substitution. The tension between the XV de Indaial and the Revolución Joao FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gavril Stoican scored 6-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osmar Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Revolución Joao FC's Aguinaga Casasola was substituted for Leandro Bartoli. Osmar Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gavril Stoican went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Osmar Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aguinaga Casasola, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Aguinaga Casasola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's goal looked a bit too open when Aguinaga Casasola came free, but Osmar Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the XV de Indaial defense, Aguinaga Casasola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osmar Antunes. The XV de Indaial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osmar Antunes should have stopped the shot. Revolución Joao FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
