Adriano Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augustus Batalla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Adriano Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augustus Batalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Rodrigues in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute of the match Xapetuba Futebol Clube got a corner. Ralles Bollklubb's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Flávio Matos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Bernardo Soares to fire away a dangerous shot which Augustus Batalla despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ralles Bollklubb's zone, Adriano Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augustus Batalla came out of the goal and Adriano Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Adriano Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augustus Batalla was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adriano Rodrigues in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augustus Batalla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute Xapetuba Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Flávio Matos went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Bernardo Soares getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Adriano Rodrigues in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Colin in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute Adriano Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustus Batalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ralles Bollklubb players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Xapetuba Futebol Clube were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Rodrigues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Bernardo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augustus Batalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Classon in the 57th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Ralles Bollklubb's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Rodrigues came free, but Augustus Batalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augustus Batalla made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Adriano Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Xapetuba Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. In the 77th minute of the match Magne Blomqvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiaguinho da Cunha skillfully saved the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Bengt Colin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiaguinho da Cunha. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bengt Colin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Rodrigues in the 87th minute of play forced Ralles Bollklubb's goalkeeper Augustus Batalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adriano Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Patrick Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralles Bollklubb's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
