George Stoicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jacobo Romo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gavril Şoltuz was slow to take the kick. During this time Avantul Hirlau's players had a chance to rest. Avantul Hirlau's Gavril Şoltuz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jacobo Romo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Stoicu in the 10th minute of play forced CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goalkeeper Jacobo Romo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as George Stoicu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacobo Romo. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidal Silvestre in the 13th minute of play forced Avantul Hirlau's goalkeeper Maxim Nae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Romo made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Nistor Gurlui sent off a good shot on target. Albino Oso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 played minutes Avantul Hirlau got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Cristoloveanu. Jacobo Romo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Stoicu in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Avantul Hirlau's goal looked a bit too open when Vidal Silvestre came free, but Maxim Nae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maxim Nae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vidal Silvestre, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Nistor Gurlui came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jacobo Romo could save by the left post. Maxim Nae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vidal Silvestre in the 39th minute of the match. Avantul Hirlau's Maxim Nae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Oso in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Avantul Hirlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Cercelescu to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Oso to make the kick off. With a little luck, Avantul Hirlau's Maxim Nae got control of the ball when Albino Oso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mugurel Burdulea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when George Stoicu came free, but Jacobo Romo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes Avantul Hirlau got a freekick which was hit by Mugurel Burdulea. After a rather tough play, Avantul Hirlau's Mugurel Burdulea got a free kick in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Avantul Hirlau's goalkeeper Maxim Nae had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albino Oso. The crowd rose to their feet as CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Albino Oso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maxim Nae. That made the score 1-1 after 76 minutes of play. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE made a substitution. Marcelo Erruki replaced Agustin Bidun. After 82 minutes, Albino Oso made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Avantul Hirlau's Maxim Nae tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Avantul Hirlau booed when CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Erruki didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes Avantul Hirlau got a freekick which was hit by George Stoicu. A collision led to Avantul Hirlau getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. George Stoicu hit a great ball. Maxim Nae came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Vidal Silvestre. But to his dismay, Vidal Silvestre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
