Casper Lundin came out of the goal and Kaj-Åke Kaká tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's Damaso Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Lundin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Damaso Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Lundin having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Ivar Sundin could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Máté Márton however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Sancho in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Lundin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Máté Márton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvin Stålberg in the 29th minute of play. Ivar Sundin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Máté Márton made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tom Sjöman in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Máté Márton saved Congo Bongo from getting behind. In the 39thth minute of the game Damaso Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MDV Mount Eaver's Casper Lundin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Congo Bongo's Damaso Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casper Lundin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Máté Márton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvin Stålberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The MDV Mount Eaver players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Congo Bongo were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivar Sundin was the one to do the kick off. If Damaso Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, MDV Mount Eaver's Casper Lundin got control of the ball when Kaj-Åke Kaká tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute Congo Bongo were awarded a corner. Franz Beckenbauer went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Franz Beckenbauer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MDV Mount Eaver's Casper Lundin did a great save. Casper Lundin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 81 minutes, Edvin Stålberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MDV Mount Eaver and the Congo Bongo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to MDV Mount Eaver getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Tony Biörkquist hit a great ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Jon Hernström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Congo Bongo's Máté Márton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
