FC Kurdistan were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after FA Sandtown's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erhard Esbo took the corner. The throw-in from Mariusz Budarz in the 7th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Kurdistan's Carlos-Alberto Bayona. FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kurdistan from getting a goal against them. Szymon Poniewaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Hopp in the 10th minute of the match. FA Sandtown's Szymon Poniewaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Sundström in the 15th minute of play. FC Kurdistan's Ubaldo Ritchie suffered a sprained foot after 15 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 16 minutes into the game, Mariusz Budarz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FA Sandtown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kurdistan the free kick. Mariusz Budarz kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Benoit Van Bettenrode shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alaaddin Solskjær saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Szymon Poniewaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Hopp in the 25th minute of the match. Aleksander Kissel scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alaaddin Solskjær, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Szymon Poniewaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Hopp in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, FA Sandtown's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Hopp came free, but Szymon Poniewaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 35th minute of the game was made by Tonko Jelovica with Witomir Domamir as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Szymon Poniewaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Hopp in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Lars Sundström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Szymon Poniewaz. FA Sandtown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Sundström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars Sundström to strike the kick off in the second half. Lars Sundström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Szymon Poniewaz came out and tried to block the shot, but Lars Sundström slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 52nd minute. A collision led to FA Sandtown getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tonko Jelovica hit a great ball. FC Kurdistan made a substitution. Lars Bammerman replaced Lars Sundström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksander Kissel in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Kurdistan's goalkeeper Alaaddin Solskjær to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwan Kasiewski in the 65th minute of play forced FA Sandtown's goalkeeper Szymon Poniewaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Bammerman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Szymon Poniewaz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 77 minutes into the match, Lars Bammerman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Szymon Poniewaz, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Bammerman in the 88th minute of play forced FA Sandtown's goalkeeper Szymon Poniewaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Szymon Poniewaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Bammerman's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by FA Sandtown's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erhard Esbo was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Kurdistan's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC Kurdistan's corner Carlos-Alberto Bayona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Szymon Poniewaz quite easily take care of the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match, Lars Bammerman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Szymon Poniewaz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Kurdistan eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
