Claudinho Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd match minute, CARDANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Gerber to maneuver through the defense. Ágætis Byrjun's attentive Gregorio Urtsin managed to snatch the ball when Egídio de Alcântara made a throw-in in the 4th minute of the game. In the 16th minute Rony Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hagberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18th play minutes Nick Heesen shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Sydney Carneiro and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CARDANO's goalkeeper Sydney Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nick Heesen in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sydney Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Egídio de Alcântara hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sydney Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Nick Heesen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sydney Carneiro. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind CARDANO's goalkeeper Sydney Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CARDANO's Sydney Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save CARDANO from getting a goal against them. With his leg Sydney Carneiro managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sydney Carneiro was a little too slow when Nick Heesen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 3-0. Nick Heesen took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Carneiro. Sydney Carneiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rony Breckenfeld was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Gert van den Bergh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nick Heesen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sydney Carneiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Yuri Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Hagberg having to interfere. After 68 minutes CARDANO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ladislao Cordarius who took care of the corner kick. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind CARDANO's goalkeeper Sydney Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Florian Bobrowski kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ágætis Byrjun's Dennis Moermans was substituted for Ernst Melis. Ditlev Delmont fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Carneiro having to interfere. In the 79th minute Nick Heesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ladislao Cordarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Carneiro having to interfere. Michael Roebuck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Carneiro having to interfere. After some careless play in the CARDANO defense, Ditlev Delmont kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sydney Carneiro. The CARDANO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sydney Carneiro should have stopped the shot. Rony Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Ágætis Byrjun were the better team. Ágætis Byrjun's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
