The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paco Zamora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Freiburg 09's goalkeeper Ivo Guterres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vasco Brás took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paco Zamora. Paco Zamora dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yao Kun Lei in the 11th minute of play. Paco Zamora didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raul Leal went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ivo Guterres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yao Kun Lei in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yao Kun Lei in the 30th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 09's goalkeeper Ivo Guterres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivo Guterres came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Yao Kun Lei. But to his dismay, Yao Kun Lei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If J.J J.J. had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Yao Kun Lei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GALATASARAY O.Z. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 43 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY O.Z.'s goal looked a bit too open when Raul Leal came free, but Paco Zamora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.J J.J. in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 63rd minute, Vasco Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yao Kun Lei got free with Ivo Guterres in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute Raul Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paco Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Yao Kun Lei made a precise shot to the right of Ivo Guterres. SC Freiburg 09's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Ivo Guterres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from J.J J.J., who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Paco Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abílio Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. J.J J.J. struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Ivo Guterres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY O.Z.. Raul Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paco Zamora having to interfere. Ivo Guterres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from J.J J.J. in the 96th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
