An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Saldanha in the 12th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Eulalio Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Montenegro came free, but Eulalio Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eulalio Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdomiro Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético-PR's Eulalio Montrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Paiva in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Anderson Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético-PR's Eulalio Montrel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Duarte in the 46th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Eulalio Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Anderson Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Eulalio Montrel made a huge save.
