In the 7th minute Cristiano Ronaldinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weather Piedrahita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Patrick Vaz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cordara Baracaldo in the 21 minute of the game. In the 26th minute, Cristiano Ronaldinho made a precise shot to the right of Weather Piedrahita. Atletico Maturrango's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A collision led to Atletico Maturrango getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cordara Baracaldo hit a great ball. Weather Piedrahita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Ronaldinho in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Herbella in the 35th minute of play forced S O B E R A N O CIMZ's goalkeeper Fran Guerola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Florencio Herbella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Florencio Herbella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fran Guerola having to interfere. Cristiano Ronaldinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fran Guerola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Herbella in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 56 played minutes S O B E R A N O CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Lindø. In the 59th minute Cristiano Ronaldinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weather Piedrahita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Cristobal Tabby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Cristiano Ronaldinho managed to work through Atletico Maturrango's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cristiano Ronaldinho dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Atletico Maturrango's Orlin Hinojosa was substituted for Lucas Sardaneta. 72 minutes into the game, Patrick Vaz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atletico Maturrango's Cordara Baracaldo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ederono Ojero might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fran Guerola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ederono Ojero ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristiano Ronaldinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Weather Piedrahita made a huge save. Orlin Hinojosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fran Guerola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlin Hinojosa ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes into the game, Ederono Ojero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Fran Guerola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Atletico Maturrango's Cordara Baracaldo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Cristiano Ronaldinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Weather Piedrahita made a huge save. If Cristiano Ronaldinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atletico Maturrango fans cheered their team off the field, for while S O B E R A N O CIMZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
