In the 26th minute Federico Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Aristide Traianescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deuce Athletic Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristide Traianescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Tolsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the game, Deuce Athletic Club's Federico Aimar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Tolsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Segundo Felo took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Tolsson. Joel Tolsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger Norberg to make the kick off. A collision led to BK Värdsholmen getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Roger Norberg hit a great ball. Joel Tolsson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Segundo Felo. The crowd rose to their feet as Aristide Traianescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Tolsson. That made the score 0-6 in the 54 minute of play. The referee ignored BK Värdsholmen's protests and gave Peder Gernberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, BK Värdsholmen's Peder Gernberg got a free kick in the 69th minute. Segundo Felo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joel Tolsson. BK Värdsholmen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 94th minute, Tage Brodin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deuce Athletic Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
