Jude Bonham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goal looked a bit too open when Jamie Mayfield came free, but Pedro Luís Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Varban Pavlikyanov kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Pedro Luís Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Den Newland in the 17th minute of play. If Den Newland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breno Loyola in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jude Bonham, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Varban Pavlikyanov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jude Bonham came out and tried to block the shot, but Varban Pavlikyanov slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Breno Loyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jude Bonham was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Jude Bonham made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Arthur Queraria sent off a good shot on target. After 38 minutes, Breno Loyola made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Barr Point's Jude Bonham tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Den Newland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Breno Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jude Bonham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jude Bonham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breno Loyola's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Jude Bonham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Barr Point defense, Breno Loyola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jude Bonham. The Barr Point fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jude Bonham should have stopped the shot. Barr Point's Jude Bonham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Loyola in the 68th minute of play. Jude Bonham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Loyola in the 69th minute of play. After 72 minutes Barr Point's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Varban Pavlikyanov who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kev Granger during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Kev Granger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Varban Pavlikyanov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jude Bonham came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Atl. Taquaritinga reached it. Breno Loyola might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jude Bonham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breno Loyola ran back to his position shaking his head. After 84 played minutes Barr Point got a freekick which was hit by Chris Bowler. 85 minutes into the match, Breno Loyola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jude Bonham. Barr Point's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Breno Loyola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Jude Bonham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar de Moraes in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Nilmar de Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atl. Taquaritinga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga fully deserved thier win.
