In the 23rd minute, Lex Academy's Bernardo Novaes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Bernardo Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bernardo Novaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Olof Skretting made a huge save. Bernardo Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Lex Academy were awarded a corner. Roman Jursa went to the cornerflag to take it. Roman Jursa made a great header on Lex Academy's corner, it was just that Cheeky Nuts United's Olof Skretting managed to reach the ball for a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 50th minute, Bernardo Novaes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lex Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Olof Skretting didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Novaes went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Olof Skretting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Bernardo Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Bernardo Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lex Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olof Skretting breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bernardo Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olof Skretting made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. In the 89th minute of the match Lex Academy got a corner. Cheeky Nuts United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roman Jursa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cheeky Nuts United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
