After 17 minutes of play, CanarioMza's Honorio Ferdinand made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The wind increased when Jacinto Platon made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to CanarioMza getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Gogo Oinatz hit a great ball. After 52 played minutes, Júbilo Iwata's Chico Mendonça shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Loco Fillol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Júbilo Iwata reached it. The corner ended in Chico Mendonça almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CanarioMza's Loco Fillol did a great save. In the 82nd minute, Remigio Urki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Júbilo Iwata booed when CanarioMza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Ponce didn't get a good kick on the ball.
