Abdullatif Tümerdem didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Necati Daman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uwe Ziege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Savaş Ali in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tolga Tur got free with Uwe Ziege in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hektor Krieglmeier to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hektor Krieglmeier in the 31st minute of play forced Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89's goalkeeper Ertan Dadaloğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birkan Kaşif charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
