The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FCFiratRom's Zeynel Gulson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johan Browall in the 28th minute of play. The corner ended in Strahil Novev almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FCFiratRom's Zeynel Gulson did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Luis Sanchez got free with Zeynel Gulson in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FCFiratRom booed when Каблешково was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valko Tzokov didn't get a good kick on the ball. FCFiratRom's Zeynel Gulson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save FCFiratRom from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johan Browall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
