Mitschullen SSA's Damazy Popowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Vianna in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mitschullen SSA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Waka Barcellos was slow to take the kick. During this time Barcellos Mineiro FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Barcellos Mineiro FC's Waka Barcellos to fire away a dangerous shot which Damazy Popowicz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enzo Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mitschullen SSA's Liu Feng Yi has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. Despite this Waldir Peres quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Caetano Toscano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Damazy Popowicz made a huge save. Barcellos Mineiro FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
