Virgilio Txilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Gol made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Gustavo Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tribos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Gol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Txilar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgilio Txilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Gol in the 53rd minute of play. Cristiano Faria who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Virgilio Txilar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gustavo Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgilio Txilar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Elias Oto kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Gustavo Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zé Paulo da Fonseca replaced Marcel Urbano. 66 minutes into the match, Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Gol. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Gol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Txilar was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Virgilio Txilar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Faria went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gustavo Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgilio Txilar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Gustavo Gol took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Txilar. Virgilio Txilar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gastres FC's Virgilio Txilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Gol in the 87th minute of play. Tribos's Adélio Pinhal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Romulo Mateo, made in the 89th minute of the game. Gustavo Gol hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Edvin van der Saar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Tancredo in the 95th minute of play. The Gastres FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tribos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
