Enrique Lekubegi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donostia Olvera, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Frederick De Kijser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Donostia Olvera notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi. Anacleto Ederono shot from long distance after 47 played minutes, a shot that Enrique Lekubegi with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicanor Gaufred to make the kick off. In the 94th minute, Nicanor Gaufred got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
