In the 9thth minute of the game Renan Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Azulgrana 81's Alvaro Karmel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Montevideo defense, Şentürk Temel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wincent Jaworski. The Montevideo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wincent Jaworski should have stopped the shot. Renan Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Alvaro Karmel made a huge save. With a little luck, Azulgrana 81's Alvaro Karmel got control of the ball when Renan Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvaro Karmel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zé Pedro Ribeiro. In the 28th minute, Deivid Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montevideo's Wincent Jaworski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şentürk Temel in the 30th minute of play. Alvaro Karmel made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Renan Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Şentürk Temel was the one to do the kick off. Alvaro Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renan Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Montevideo fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Montevideo's Renan Barbosa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute, Renan Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Karmel was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 71st match minute, Azulgrana 81 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Rivas to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Azulgrana 81 getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Şentürk Temel hit a great ball. Wincent Jaworski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şentürk Temel, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Azulgrana 81's Şentürk Temel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2.
