Jonas Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Blasco Macho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Vitor José played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Monteiro in the 11th minute of play. Flávio Monteiro took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitor José. Vitor José dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Erasmo Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Vitor José made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Lopez in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Juan Sorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blasco Macho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Juan Sorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Sorin in the 23rd minute of play forced Hartmann Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Blasco Macho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitor José was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Amauri de Alcântara. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blasco Macho having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amauri de Alcântara during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amauri de Alcântara hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Vitor José showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Veloso in the 41st minute of play forced Hartmann Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Blasco Macho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Vitor José got control of the ball when Aloísio Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Aloísio Lopez made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Madureira in the 50th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Vitor José to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 51st minute, Giovanni Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute, Aloísio Lopez made a precise shot to the right of Vitor José. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Secco in the 57th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Vitor José to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luiz Secco took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitor José. Vitor José made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Monteiro in the 78th minute of play. Hartmann Futebol Clube's Blasco Macho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Hartmann Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. After 83 minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Baltazar Messias who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Hartmann Futebol Clube's Baltazar Messias to fire away a dangerous shot which Vitor José despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 88th minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Juan Sorin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-1. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Jonas Veloso sped through Hartmann Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Blasco Macho.
