Enéas Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ionel Zărnescu in the 4th minute. Gorka Turienzo kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Solo during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FCSB CUENCA's Bernardo Solo got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute Gilberto Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agapito Blanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Garcia in the 14th minute of play forced FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper Agapito Blanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Tirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Enéas Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vitin Domingo. In the 17th minute of the match FCSB CUENCA got a corner. Tirense F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ionel Zărnescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FCSB CUENCA's Ionel Zărnescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Enéas Arruda despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Tirense F.C. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Valdo Ferreira hit a great ball. Enéas Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joselito Quiroga in the 22nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, FCSB CUENCA's Enéas Arruda threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernardo Solo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Marinho during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norberto Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Bernardo Solo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enéas Arruda, 1-0. Gilberto Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ionel Zărnescu made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, FCSB CUENCA's Ionel Zărnescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enéas Arruda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Franklin Severo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tirense F.C.'s protests and gave Franklin Severo a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 minutes of play, FCSB CUENCA's Bernardo Solo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enéas Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute Willian Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agapito Blanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FCSB CUENCA booed when Tirense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Bernardo Solo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enéas Arruda was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Ionel Zărnescu took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enéas Arruda. Enéas Arruda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Enéas Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joselito Quiroga in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Joselito Quiroga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FCSB CUENCA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
