Jeremias Preuss who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Artur Sterckmans when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Artur Sterckmans successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gregorie Kloots scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adilson Alcântara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Régis Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Artur Sterckmans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcinho das Neves. The audience was convinced that Gillis Lembrechts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adilson Alcântara was relentless in the 18th minute of the game.
