With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justo Estefan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Justo Estefan made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Into Vihermäki sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Fausto Ronconi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22ndth minute of the game Michael Owen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formentera's Justo Estefan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute Manchester United FC were awarded a corner. Rafael da Silva went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Manchester United FC's Ruud van Nistelrooij to fire away a dangerous shot which Justo Estefan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 楚政潮 in the 29th minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Juha Jokiranta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Viljanen. In the 36th minute, 楚政潮 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Formentera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Formentera booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severi Heinikainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Sugar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Juha Jokiranta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Martti Helin hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the game, Bogumil Czubski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formentera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United FC the free kick. A collision led to Formentera getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Bogumil Czubski hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 楚政潮 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Justo Estefan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Into Vihermäki in the 52nd minute of play. Rasmus Viljanen hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Juha Jokiranta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Vela in the 54th minute of the match. 楚政潮 took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juha Jokiranta. Juha Jokiranta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Juha Jokiranta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Ronconi in the 60th minute of the match. 楚政潮 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juha Jokiranta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldo Sugar in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Manchester United FC's Severi Heinikainen got a free kick in the 70th minute. The long shot by Joaquin Vela in the 71st minute really tested Juha Jokiranta's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 楚政潮 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Juha Jokiranta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Formentera booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severi Heinikainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Severi Heinikainen. After 77 played minutes Joaquin Vela shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Manchester United FC's Juha Jokiranta to catch but Joaquin Vela was lucky. It became 0-5 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After 82 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Michael Owen. In the 83rd minute of the match, Osvaldo Sugar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juha Jokiranta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 89 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Into Vihermäki. Justo Estefan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Ahola in the 92nd minute of the match. Justo Estefan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terho Ylimäki, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
