The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 11 minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Titouan Bock who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Titouan Bock got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Franco Di Giambattista quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Blair Lusk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cats and dogs's Franz Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Cats and dogs from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Racing Miami Futbol Club booed when Cats and dogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hocine Maret didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jackson Shipley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blair Lusk scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franz Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jackson Shipley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz Torres having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Jean-Pascal Herrmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Di Giambattista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glen Hoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Franz Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jackson Shipley had several of the Cats and dogs's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Franz Torres as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 41 minutes, Robin Chaubet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cats and dogs and the Racing Miami Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 played minutes Cats and dogs got a freekick which was hit by Robin Chaubet. Franz Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blair Lusk in the 43rd minute. Franco Di Giambattista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Pascal Herrmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Sidney Staton hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Lanfranchi made a kick off. Franco Di Giambattista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Pascal Herrmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Hocine Maret hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes, Nicolas Philibert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cats and dogs and the Racing Miami Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Willie Vogt replaced Glen Hoff. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Genaro Cassidy was substituted for Blair Lusk. Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Denny Godwin replaced Jackson Shipley. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Mario Farris put in a rough tackle. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Racing Miami Futbol Club. Racing Miami Futbol Club:s Franco Di Giambattista showed great skill when he stopped Titouan Bock:s penalty. Franco Di Giambattista made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Adam Lanfranchi sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 78 minutes, Genaro Cassidy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Miami Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Cassidy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Genaro Cassidy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franz Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Cassidy, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Genaro Cassidy notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Cats and dogs's Franz Torres. Franz Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
