In the 9th minute of the match Gwenn Preuveneer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casper Enting skillfully saved the ball. Gwenn Preuveneer lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of KFC Paal-Tervant:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Verwachting:s goal. Nicolaas Van Hamme had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Franck Bakhuis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nicolaas Van Hamme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franck Bakhuis in the 13th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Gilian Weynants managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Paal-Tervant's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilian Weynants was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Enting breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolaas Van Hamme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oscar Vaalman went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the game, Oscar Vaalman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Nicolaas Van Hamme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicolaas Van Hamme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Vaalman in the 24th minute of play. Henk-Jan Opdam's late challenge caught a KFC Paal-Tervant's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henk-Jan Opdam helped the player get up and apologised. 29 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goal looked a bit too open when Manu Gyselinx came free, but Casper Enting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes Verwachting's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luckas De Wortelaers who took care of the corner kick. Luckas De Wortelaers made a great header on KFC Paal-Tervant's corner, it was just that Verwachting's Casper Enting managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Manu Gyselinx put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Casper Enting. Nicolaas Van Hamme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerrit Melis in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Oscar Vaalman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolaas Van Hamme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manu Gyselinx was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to KFC Paal-Tervant getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Manu Gyselinx hit a great ball. Verwachting's Casper Enting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilian Weynants in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes Verwachting's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luckas De Wortelaers who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Verwachting getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Oscar Vaalman hit a great ball. Casper Enting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilian Weynants in the 59th minute of the match. Nicolaas Van Hamme came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Verwachting's Gerrit Melis. But to his dismay, Gerrit Melis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Verwachting's Casper Enting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luckas De Wortelaers in the 64th minute of play. Viktor Gijselinkx might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Enting. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viktor Gijselinkx ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicolaas Van Hamme was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Oscar Vaalman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oscar Vaalman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 70th match minute, KFC Paal-Tervant was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luckas De Wortelaers to maneuver through the defense. Gerrit Melis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nicolaas Van Hamme came out and tried to block the shot, but Gerrit Melis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 74th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Verwachting's Gerrit Melis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicolaas Van Hamme. That made the score 1-6 after 81 minutes of play. If Luckas De Wortelaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casper Enting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilian Weynants, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute KFC Paal-Tervant were awarded a corner. Luckas De Wortelaers went to the cornerflag to take it. Arsene Vermeulen kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Gerrit Melis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded Verwachting left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than KFC Paal-Tervant.
