After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Raphael Aregger got a free kick in the 9th minute. Mauro Caviezel hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Akira Schmid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Rico in the 14th minute of play. Freeman Mächler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Luis Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raphael Aregger struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Luis Selatse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espen Steelers. Freeman Mächler's late challenge caught a Rondeau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freeman Mächler helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Freeman Mächler. After a rather tough play, Rondeau's Christian Fonda got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Freeman Mächler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Espen Steelers were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Rondeau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gaetano Rothstein took the corner. The corner led Espen Steelers's Gaetano Rothstein to fire away a dangerous shot which Luis Selatse despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Max Frisch's late challenge caught a Rondeau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Max Frisch helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Rondeau's Luis Selatse got control of the ball when Andres Ambühl tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 41 played minutes Rondeau got a freekick which was hit by Blas Caradaro. A collision led to Rondeau getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Blas Caradaro hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Ambühl got free with Luis Selatse in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Falko Reimann kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harrison Muntwyler made a kick off. Luis Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harrison Muntwyler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Enaut hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 61 minutes of play, Espen Steelers's Fabian Schär made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Selatse was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Harrison Muntwyler came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Espen Steelers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harrison Muntwyler couldn't finish the play. Harrison Muntwyler got in the 68th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Luis Selatse handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The Espen Steelers fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Espen Steelers's Harrison Muntwyler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fabian Schär recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Christian Fonda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rondeau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espen Steelers the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rondeau's Christian Fonda got a free kick in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Ambühl in the 74th minute of play forced Rondeau's goalkeeper Luis Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Ambühl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rondeau's Luis Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Ambühl in the 75th minute of play. If Prospero Enaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akira Schmid didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prospero Enaut went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Rondeau's Luis Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Aregger in the 84th minute of play. Luis Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Ambühl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Harrison Muntwyler made a precise shot to the right of Luis Selatse. Rondeau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Andres Ambühl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Blas Caradaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Espen Steelers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rondeau had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
