An unexpectedly hard shot by Brock Friend in the 6th minute of play forced ALIANZA 1901's goalkeeper Ruy Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brock Friend's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy Berger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Apolo Paez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruy Berger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ruy Berger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Apolo Paez went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Ruy Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brock Friend, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Luis Escobar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 29th playminute. Ruy Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Paez in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th match minute, ALIANZA 1901 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brais Lahoz to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Apolo Paez to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Brock Friend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguirres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brock Friend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Aguirres's Apolo Paez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ruy Berger. Ruy Berger yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Rojelio Daza hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Brock Friend struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Ruy Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguirres. Aguirres's Luisito Liher was substituted for Espínola Cabañero. Aguirres's Eduardo Jerano was substituted for Brock Friend. Eduardo Jerano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Berger having to interfere. Miro Rohrer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Escobar in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Rojelio Daza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geronimo Medina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy Berger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Apolo Paez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ruy Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Aguirres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Liher to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Tomasini in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miro Rohrer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brais Lahoz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. With a little luck, ALIANZA 1901's Ruy Berger got control of the ball when Eduardo Jerano tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to ALIANZA 1901 getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Rojelio Daza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Medina in the 91st minute of play forced ALIANZA 1901's goalkeeper Ruy Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Ason in the 95th minute of play forced Aguirres's goalkeeper Miro Rohrer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apolo Paez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Berger having to interfere.
