FC ICEWIND DALE's Kuno Lüdimõis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romelu Lukaku in the 14th minute of play. Jani Koskinen made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC ICEWIND DALE's Klaudijo Kiss-Juhász. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Marinho in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yan Chong Sen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Fernando Marinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yan Chong Sen. Palloketut's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Yan Chong Sen was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Fernando Marinho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fernando Marinho really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Jani Koskinen's late challenge caught a FC ICEWIND DALE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jani Koskinen helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Marinho in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yan Chong Sen saved Palloketut from getting behind. The corner led FC ICEWIND DALE's Erik Stor to fire away a dangerous shot which Yan Chong Sen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Marinho made a kick off. The FC ICEWIND DALE fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when FC ICEWIND DALE's Fernando Marinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Palloketut's goalkeeper Yan Chong Sen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adrian Mutu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yan Chong Sen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Palloketut players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC ICEWIND DALE.
